Committed to environmental responsibility and sustainable development

Hôtel Vaneau Saint-Germain is a member of Les Hôtels Victoria group, 3-star independent charming hotels, whose strong and committed values are based on family tradition. We are involved in a collective approach to environmental respect by adopting an ecological behaviour focused on sustainable development and eco-responsibility in the management of our establishments.

To this end, we have signed a CSR charter that sets out our ethical mindset and our role as a good corporate citizen for everyone, staff and customers alike.

Our hotel is also eco-labelled, and we rely on this charter to apply and make our technical and maintenance teams, as well as management and all hotel staff, apply clear protocols for the comfort and safety of all, giving priority to welcoming our guests and the well-being of our teams at work.

We have therefore implemented a large number of decisions and actions to make this commitment a reality in everyone’s day-to-day life.

The hotel’s commitment to the City of Paris’ “Le Pari(s) Zéro Plastique” initiative, the sole aim of which is to phase out single-use plastic (“SUP”) once and for all.
Joining the “Ici, je choisis l’eau de Paris” movement. Today, we are one of the 800 sites that provide you and all our employees with drinking water that meets strict quality criteria. Passers-by can also take advantage of this service and stop off to fill their water bottles at one of these points.

Our technical and maintenance teams follow strict guidelines to save energy and reduce our carbon footprint:

All areas of the hotel are equipped with low-energy lights.
We have opted for environmentally-friendly cleaning products.
We have introduced tools to optimise the maintenance of our equipment.

Our commitment to CSR means that we act responsibly and ethically at all times and with everyone:

Opening of 2 PRM (People with Reduced Mobility) rooms equipped with specific equipment.
Training in welcoming people with disabilities, to offer them a high-quality stay while optimising their comfort, and to ensure that everyone enjoys the same quality of welcome in our establishment.
Use of the Levli system to facilitate the work of the room service teams.
1-check digital system and more fluid communication between departments: fewer printouts for maintenance, centralisation of room allocation to staff, better lost and found management.

When you arrive in your room, you’ll find free glass bottles that you can refill as often as you like – a much more environmentally-friendly alternative to paying for plastic bottles.
All our breakfast products are organically grown.
The products used in the rooms are fair trade.
We have a collection point for used batteries and a waste separation bin at reception.
